For more than 30 years, family-run Orfino's Café in Briarcliff has been serving up sumptuous Italian fare family-style. The freshest meats, vegetables, and herbs roast, braise, sear, broil, and bake into simple yet intoxicatingly aromatic and flavorful classics like pork chops with apple and sage, tilapia oreganata, and stuffed chicken breast with ham, tomato, and swiss cheese. Let chef Luis Campoverde transport you to the mountains and pastures of Italy (not to mention the crystal blue waters of the Adriatic Sea) with his tempting creations, served in a warm and welcoming setting by attentive and friendly staff. Bring along a congenial companion and prepare to enjoy this succulent lunch for two -- satisfaction guaranteed!

Every once in a while there is restaurant or a cafe in a small town where people of all walks of life congregate for social gatherings, a place away from home where the food is as good as the best home cooked meal. 28 years ago My husband and I walked into Orfino's when it was a small four table restaurant and we have been part of the Orfino's scene ever since. I saw the restaurant and the family grow, children and grandchildren were a great part of the restaurant's social life, and customers were all welcomed as family. Orfino's has now grown into a wonderful, lunch and dinner restaurant with an array of dishes that change from day to day. Just yesterday I had the 'Island Coconut Salad', recommended by the owner, Michael, and it was a true delicacy. At Orfino's everyone is on a first name basis. Why? Because this is truly the center of Briarcliff, it is where laughs are shared, where many of Briarcliff and Ossining families have made their memories. I think that is why this restaur

My wife and I have lived in Briarcliff Manor for 25 years and we've been eating at Orfino's since it was a tiny luncheonette type spot. Usually 2-3x a week, everything from breakfast to lunch to dinner. The atmosphere is downright informal (even in the evening when they try low lights and tablecloths to romance things up) and service can be quirky (although always friendly)--but the food is always outstanding. The veal rustica is my favorite; my wife is partial to the chicken portofino and chicken amore. We always try to order off the day's specials menu. It's generally creative and a good deal. Wednesday is pasta night with most large portion bowls (we usually get the next day's lunch from it and I am a big guy) ranging from $10.95-$13.95. Excellent value again. The Orfino Family commandeers the round table by the kitchen entrance at all times except when its totally busy. Come in the late morning and you'll see them all trimming end off the fresh string beans that they'
