Their academic far surpasses that of most not only in the area but in the region. My college wasn't as technologically advanced as my Aquinas was. It provides the balance of school work, an environment that feels like home and the type of 'we are your parents' while in school mentality. When you come out of Aquinas you will be a prepared young woman. As a Blue Ribbon School, Aquinas properly prepared me for college. I started out at Aquinas as a shy freshmen and by my senior the school was my second home where the faculty and administration know you by name and are available upon request. Aquinas is also excellent with their extracurricular activity program. When I was looking at high schools in the Bronx, other schools did not have nearly as many extracurricular activities as Aquinas. Overall, Aquinas provides students with the opportunity to excel academically and socially. Some teachers don't give enough time to help out with the students. The student body can be extremely harsh at times. Since it is an all girl's school, many of the girls tend to snap at others, especially towards the younger students. Many people will get bored with Aquinas towards the end of freshman year.
