I have made incredible friendships and really have a sisterhood with each girl in my grade. There is a fair amount of work required for the school and a very high standard that will prepare you for anything you wish to accomplish later in life. I started as a freshman in the Upper School last year and I have so far had an amazing experience! The girls are all so warm and friendly and very welcoming. CSH is different from any other high school because we are all like one huge family. My classmates are all friends with each other and we rarely, if ever, have issues (which is saying something for an all-girls school). On top of all of that, they provide us with a superb education. I have friends come back from Ivy League universities and tell me how well CSH prepared them for the work and courseload of college. The environment in which the children are taught lends a moral perspective to learning and life. The extracurricular activities are very good and the new atheltic fields, turf fields, are being completed(2006). However, CSH still lacks an adequate gymnasium. It is not large enough to accomodate the demand of the students. Parent involvement is encouraged and very high. They want to believe they provide the best education, but in fact, i know many people who have said the cost of their daughter's education did not buy them more than the public schools which in greenwich, westport and fairfield are outstanding. I went to Sacred Heart as a girl also, as did my grandmother and sister and aunts. that is the kind of school it is, like a sorority. Once you are an alum you have friends all over the world in the other sister schools. My daughter emerged as an accomplished adult ready for college, where she is now a senior, and successful in every endeavor.
