St. Eugene School Reviews

Regarding the prior comments about the social fraternity in the school, at the beginning of the school the principal always asks all parents to be involved in some activities at the school. This helps the overall experience for all children. But, this does not constitute a social fraternity. In my opinion, it is good if parents are involved in their children's school. St. Eugene's has been a good experience for my children. My children like the school and have made alot of friends there.

I am a student at SES, and I'm in the seventh grade (I've been going there since kindergarten). Sure the principal is really strict but lately she's been trying to be nicer, which is nice to see. They are also branching out a bit more; they have a Student Service Council and this year they got a National Junior's Honors Society. Gym class is a lot of fun and all of my teachers are a pleasure to be with. I made a lot of friends and I'm on the baskteball team which got new, awesome uniforms. The teachers have high expectations, and some are little unrealistic, but that's okay. All in all, SES is a good school.

My child just started going and I am having second thougts about the school. seems like it's lacking in many areas. Parents are part of some strange social fraternity, seems like the PTA is running the school, not sure yet. I may transfer my child out.

Not a real good experience for myself or my son. School is deficient in many areas. Lacking extracuriculars and sophistication of teachers and environment. My son is an honors student (90 average just about), but unless you as a parent are part of their ' Social Fraternity' the school turns a blind cheek to you for the most part. Lack of extracuriculars and activites is extremely deficient. Only basketball team and cheerleading, and as mentioned unless parent is 'popular' by their standards will the child benefit from that. Strong lack of technology and lack of modernization in the school. If your child goes to an elite high school after this, it will be a big adjustment. Look around ebfore looking here. Trust me

My kids love the school and teachers. Not so much the principal, although I just think that's because of what they hear from other kids. I'm hoping that the monthly coffee with the principal, we as parents will be able to get a bit more involved in what goes on and how we can make this a great year for our kids as well as for us.

I have to say my children love going to this school and have learned a great deal. The curriculum is well rounded and the teachers have high expectations. We have always been treated respectfully by both the teachers and the principal. My kids enjoy going to school; that speaks volumes.

The best school ever. Kids are given a top notch education and are treated like the principal's own children. No one could ask for better anywhere.

Great job educating my grandchild! Principal and all teachers, so far, have guided my grandchild on the path to being a practicing Catholic and upright citizen. Thanks.

My complaint is how the school is run. If your child does one thing wrong, they are labeled from that moment on. They do not try to bring out the positive in your child but pick on all of the negatives. I always thought the catholic religion was about forgiveness and faith but that does not show in how they treat the children. They do not forgive your child if they makepoor judgements. Instead they constantly tell your child that they will never amount to anything and it probably comes from the home. The principal will over step her boundaries and tell the parents they are not good parents. She will refuse to talk/see you unless she feels like it. She will hang up on you if she doesn't like what you have to say. I've never seen anything so disgraceful before.

I attended this school and it was the worst 4 years of my school life. The kids were friendly but I always felt like the teachers and principal hated me. I always felt like the principal would give me these evil stares for no reason. She is very cold and very, very strict. The teachers write down every little thing you do wrong. They wrote me up for asking to go to the bathroom to many times. They assumed I wanted to get out of class and goof around but I had a stomach virus. They play favorites and if you're not one of them, they pick on you and make you feel bad about yourself. I'm so happy in HS but I wish my parents would have chosen a different school for me. Besides meeting great friends, I have no positive experiences. They need to get a new a new principal!

My child attended this school. No help what so ever. since we moved from Ireland they told us there was a language barrier speak english at home. Put my child down and very successful career.

I am a former student. They play favorites. extra help was never provided
