The teachers are more like an extended family for the students who attend the school. They offer smaller class sizes which is great and hard to come by in this area. Unlike the charter schools in the nearby area, they truly serve the Mott Haven community and are open to other students from other communities. No need to stress yourself or your child out with 'I hope my child made the lottery'. I am very happy with the eduction my two older children received at St. Pius. They received an educational foundation that has given them the opportunity to not only gain acceptance to and graduate from top High Schools but also to achieve admittaance into the Colleges of their choice. The teachers and staff of St. Pius are committed to the children who attend here. St. Pius believes in a well rounded education. Technology is an integral part of the curriculum. Teachers use computers in some of their lessons and students get a chance use the computer to enhance their knowledge of the subject whether it is math, reading or social studies. Our 8th grade class puts together their yearbook in the computer. They also put the homework for the different class on the school website. This allows all parents to be able to see what their child's homework is for the day. St. Pius is dedicated to the education of children. My children always looked forward to attending school. My youngest daughter is looking forward to her first day in second grade.”
