Holy Rosary School Reviews

there are too many students in one class, the teachers are extremely not understanding, the staff makes too many mistakes in everything, the rules are stupid and also make the child lack personality, my daughter is leaving the school in January

My 2 children just started Holy Rosary School this year and we are very happy! Their teachers are caring and willing to help. Especially our first grader. We are very pleased so far!.

Our daughter attended this school and it was awful! The rapid decline in her personaltiy was shocking in so little time. For the first time she was unenthusiastic about going to school. The Pre-K program has a 'one curriculum for all,' system which is insane considering kids at that age have different levels of learning. The Pre-K teacher our daughter had was preoccupied with 'labeling' and almost every day we got notes home about behavior. Our daughter's now enrolled in a Prep school and she loves it! The teachers adore her and we've had no notes or complaints about behavior. Turns out she was bored in Holy Rosary. Save money & time. If you want a progressive education for your kid - Holy Rosary is not up to par! It did not meet our expectations at all!

We have have been at Holy Rosary for 5 years now and are very satisfied with the results. Good teachers and staff and a caring environment. Good academic standards as well.

Compare to public schools, the ciriculum of this school is better. But the classes are over crowded. The admin. staff is a disorganized mess. Half the teachers are good and the other half seem to have screws loose. There is a general disrespect that all teachers have for the students. And they disapline that if one person is talking then the whole group gets in trouble. Kind of takes away incentive for kids to be good if they're going to get in trouble regardless. I can't wait to get out of this school - if I could find 1 for compareable ciriculum/price close to home - I'd go in a heartbeat.

This school is the worst catholic school in the bronx. They do not repsect you as a working parent and not to mention the classrooms are over crowded. And all they care about is getting money from you with all the hidden fee's. The administration is full of old women who do not respect the parents who call to inquire about there child and there well begin. There are too many students and they do not have enought staff. MONEY< MONEY< MONEY. Very poor school academically and administration.

I have graduated from this school a mere two years ago, and I am glad I left. Holy Rosary lacks the passion and understanding needed in helping their students rise. And though there are one or two good things about this school it would be wise to look closely at your childs teachers. Often they judge unfairly, wither it's because of grades or etc. I myself was a victim of this and wish all arrving students the best of luck surviving theses years.

I was very disappointed with Holy Rosary School. Some of the teachers lack compassion and understanding. Yet they want to teach this to the children. They should lead by example.

I am a current student at this school and started attending this school at Pre-k. I am now in 8th grade. This school doesn't prepare you with an excellent math curriculum to prepare you for the Bronx High School test.

Holy Rosary is a great school. If you want a school with good structure/discipline, this is where your child needs to be. If you are a parent who does not admit that you have a child who can't stay still, and expect the school to keep your child, Holy Rosary will not be the school for you. Very strict, and as a parent, I love that. I have two kids who attend the school now, one in pre-k and the other in 1st grade. I get a note from the pre-k teacher at least twice a week, for obvious reasons. I won't give up, bc its for the best! Teachers are very helpful and always care to communicate with the parents. Parents are definitely involved in what goes on in the school. Looking for good education, Holy Rosary is the place to be.

I once called this place my school. Even though the education prepared me only somewhat for High School, it prepared me more for interactions with adults. The classrooms sizes were huge, but supporting staff made up for that. The extracarricular activites were few, and I wish there had been more. The music program was no where up to par...at all. The computer program though, was excellent and taught me many things that I still use today. Overall I would give it a 3.5-4 out of 5 during my last year there.

Holy rosary is good at providing a safe environment for your children, but can be a bit too rigid at times. The school's greateset asset is it's teachers, they are great. The biggest downfall is that holy rosary administrative staff does not communicate with parents effectively. They do not send home notices regaurding school tuition increases and you don't find out until you receive the bill.

Academics are not a worry for your child in this school. Teachers are very helpful if your child needs any extra help. There are many activities for your child. There is a weekly basis of music, art, computer science, and more. The school also offers other afterschool programs such as basketball, cheerleading, softball, and other various sports. Parents are involed often in the school year.Parents can voleenteer for many school activities such as, school parties and school events. There are also meetngs for parents if they would like to go to inform parent about promblems in the school or important topics that need to be discussed.Parent will be informed if your child is having trouble in any academic subjects or for any matter as well.I hope my review helps you understand this school better.Chose Holy Rosary School if you want your child to have a good school year!
